Um, i hate to be an annoyance, but i can’t figure out the post order on this blog and I was wondering if the picnic had been rescheduled before or after the large informational post was put out. So basically what I was wondering what date the picnic is as of right now? Also if I was to be coming only as a photographer for a friend would I still be allowed to come, with or without a cosplay? I will be able to bring anything that is required, but I don’t feel like I’d be able to cosplay that day.

Homestuck Dress-Up Tea Party 2.0 

When: 
Wednesday, June 27th
10:30AM - 4:00PM

What:

Just what it says on the box!

The Party is themed “Fancy Tea Party”, but cosplay is encouraged as long as they are appropriate (so please, no gray!) and while following the Dress Code is encouraged, if you are unable to dress up or follow the theme you are still welcome to join us!

The clothes don’t make the party after all :D (But Ur A Chump If U Show Up In Jeans) Also you might want to bring extra casual clothing to change into later because being in fancy clothes can get tiring after a while! 

There will be games, prizes, and photoshoots at this party, which will be described in full detail later, so be prepared for all those! 
(So don’t forget cameras, game faces, and your good sportsmanship!) 

Things To Bring (Optional but encouraged!):

• Please bring your own picnic blankets! We will be sitting on the grass. 
• Also, bring umbrellas if you have them, you never know when you’ll need portable shade! 
• If anyone has a portable stove or something that can heat water, you are encouraged to bring it to make it easier to warm up large amounts of water. 
• The Party will have some food provided, but it would be much appreciated if everyone brought something to share!
• Please bring appropriate food as well as the utensils required to eat it with since we won’t be able to provide everything! 
  (Appropriate food ex. finger foods that are not messy [sandwiches and non-powdered cookies], 
  Non-appropriate food ex. are difficult to eat food, like lava cakes [no matter how delicious they are, people will inevitably get chocolate on someone!], some of us will be dressed nicely and won’t want something to fall on us!)
• ICE!!! If you can find it in your heart to bring it, bring lots and lots of ice!!! The more the merrier! Bags of ice, ice blocks, cold packets, whatever! 
• Cold or Hot Tea! Pre-made or the stuff to make it there, that’d be great! 
• Teacups and Tea Sets are always appreciated, but we will not be responsible for broken or chipped sets.
• Bring a friend! Preferably one into Homestuck! The more the merrier! 

Basic Etiquette:

As the title states, this will be a Fancy Tea Party, and all participants and guests are required to act appropriately and with class. 

This is a classy event at which decorum should be exercised. 

Put simply, if you misbehave we’re sending your ass home.

Prom is Wednesday, June 29th. That’s only seventeen days away! So here’s how things are going to work:

We will be accepting Promstuck Royalty Nominations from RIGHT NOW until 6/16 at 11:59 PM. We’ll take a couple days to process the nominations, contact the people who have been nominated, and then open voting on 6/18 at 11:59pm. Voting will continue for one week, closing on 6/27 at 11:59pm, at which point we will count the votes and announce the winner at Promstuck itself.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO NOMINATE SOMEONE AS PROM ROYALTY:

Send an ask or submit with the tumblr of the person you are nominating to this blog. Nominations sent to the main Sacramento Promstuck will not be accepted. Nominations sent on anonymous will not be accepted. You CAN nominate yourself (who nominates who will not be made public, so you don’t have to worry about that sort of thing).

You can only nominate three people for Prom Royalty. You don’t have to nominate them all at once; in fact, you don’t have to nominate three people at all. Just know that you cannot nominate more than three people for Prom Royalty. If you attempt to circumvent this, all of your nominations will be considered invalid.

Once we have received your nomination, we will reply to let you know that it has been received within 24hrs (to prevent tumblr from eating anything).
In order for a nominee to be placed on the ballot for Promstuck Royalty, they must be nominated by two separate people. Let me repeat: two separate tumblr users must nominate someone for that someone to be put on the ballot. If this minimum is met, we will begin the process of contacting the nominee to see if they want to run, and if so, which royalty title they want to run for.

Since this was recent and apparently in our area, I urge everyone, please PLEASE bring your own drinks to Picnicstuck and DO NOT accept any Faygo from anyone!

About two weeks back, a date rape drug was slipped into a bottle of Faygo and brought to a meetup. It was shared with a few Homestuck fans who ended up being hospitalized.
The three cosplayers who brought it were not caught.
The description of their cosplays were two male cosplayers, a Sollux and a Karkat covered in dark acrylic paint, and a Roxy without a wig.

I may just be paranoid, and this may not be true, but I don’t want anything bad to happen. And I already suspect things may be a bit strange with the cosplay auction. So please, bring your own drinks and do not accept or share with anybody!

This story may or may not be true but lets air on the side of caution.

Do not accept any drinks from strangers and keep your drinks/cups/food with you at all times.

I will try to keep and eye out for suspicious people and remind people of these tips but don’t rely and the kindness of others, take precautions.

This should be a standard at all meet-ups though. Regardless of the story’s validity.

Oh no we’re being kind of tight about it. I knew it’d attract bad attention from the fans when I came up with the idea. But whatever. Yolo.

If whoever bid on you and won is making you uncomfortable, we will pay them back and you don’t have to be with them for the rest of the meetup. And if it’s extreme, we will make the person leave the meetup.

And plus it’s only during the meetup, which is a couple hours long. It’s not like you’re taking this person home or anything.

Has no one ever heard of a date auction before? I thought this was a fairly common fundraiser? I thought this was a good idea, maybe a great way for cosplayers to raise money for FREE events~

What: Picnicstuck again! This time we’re here to raise money for Promstuck on June 27th! And how will we raise this money? By having a COSPLAYER AUCTION!

But you may be asking, “Nipples-San, what’s a cosplayer auction?!”

So we’ll be auctioning off willing cosplayers to the attendees of Picnicstuck to do their bidding for the entire day. YOU MUST BE 17+ TO BE A PARTICIPATING COSPLAYER IN THIS AUCTION! It’s for safety reasons, guys!

But, you don’t have to be 17+ to bid on a cosplayer!
