Picnicstuck Question Answered
Um, i hate to be an annoyance, but i can’t figure out the post order on this blog and I was wondering if the picnic had been rescheduled before or after the large informational post was put out.So basically what I was wondering what date the picnic is as of right now? Also if I was to be coming only as a photographer for a friend would I still be allowed to come, with or without a cosplay? I will be able to bring anything that is required, but I don’t feel like I’d be able to cosplay that day.
It’s no annoyance, please tell everyone to send me their questions! Also Sorry this took so long to answer I was out and about all day for father’s day.
The date for picnicstuck (with the auction) is Wednesday June 20th, from 12pm to 5pm at William Land Park at picnic spot GA-7 (It’s directly across the parking lot from where we hosted it last time). Coming in street clothes is completely fine. Cosplay is only required for those in the auction. But gray and horns are not encouraged. If the park officials ask you to removed them please comply.
I’m sure I don’t have to discuss proper photo etiquette with you but for the sake of others.
- Ask before you snap a picture and if you can post the pictures online.
- Also ask if the person would like to be sent the picture you took.
- If you take candid shots (what was number one?) please ask everyone in the picture if they are alright with you posting it…then refer to number 2.
- Finally if someone contacts you asking you to remove a picture please do not fuss, just do it.
Please bring money to bid at the auction plus your spirit of competition (watch Storage Wars)! You get to spend all day with not only wonderful people/cosplayers but people who are acting as the characters~! It’s also a fun way to meet new people in the area and raise money from promstuck. We’re not asking for an arm and a leg just a small bid/donation.
And If you could bring a dish that would be superb.
Also fair warning there is a nasty rumor/story going around about a someone drugging other Homestuckers through Faygo at a meet-ups, as a result Papermoose encourages everyone to bring their own drinks (water bottles, tea, etc) and to keep close watch over them. But this should be practiced at any public place/gathering where there are people who you do not know well.
Stay hydrated as well, it’s hot out there!
Finally, the date was rescheduled after the long informational post due to the realization that someone important did not have a ride as planned. I hope this is not an inconvenience to you (any of you) and I hope to see you at the picnic!

Picnicstuck Update
Since this was recent and apparently in our area, I urge everyone, please PLEASE bring your own drinks to Picnicstuck and DO NOT accept any Faygo from anyone!
About two weeks back, a date rape drug was slipped into a bottle of Faygo and brought to a meetup. It was shared with a few Homestuck fans who ended up being hospitalized.
The three cosplayers who brought it were not caught.
The description of their cosplays were two male cosplayers, a Sollux and a Karkat covered in dark acrylic paint, and a Roxy without a wig.I may just be paranoid, and this may not be true, but I don’t want anything bad to happen. And I already suspect things may be a bit strange with the cosplay auction. So please, bring your own drinks and do not accept or share with anybody!
This story may or may not be true but lets air on the side of caution.
Do not accept any drinks from strangers and keep your drinks/cups/food with you at all times.
I will try to keep and eye out for suspicious people and remind people of these tips but don’t rely and the kindness of others, take precautions.
This should be a standard at all meet-ups though. Regardless of the story’s validity.
The very smart Noelle just gave me a wonderful idea to raise money for promstuck, that we should have a meet up where we can raffle off prizes and such. Also to have character auction. To bid on a cosplayer to spend the entire day with preferably those comfortable with it.
